How many screws and shutter locks come with each pair of shutters?

Shutters up to 43" high come with a total of 8 shutter-loks/screws per pair. Shutters 44" high and greater come with 12 shutter-loks/screws per pair.

Can these shutters be closed?

The vinyl shutters are intended to be fixed/surface mounted, and are not designed to be functional or to be closed. For functional shutters you would want to consider shutters made with either a wood or composite material.

Can the screws that come with these shutters be screwed into brick?

We'd recommend using the "Shutter Lok's" for installation into brick.

Are these made by Builders Edge or Mid America?

Mid America actually manufacturers the Builders Edge shutters so the colors/sizing are the same.

Can we get color samples for shutters?

Yes, color samples are available for these shutters on our site for $9.99. The sample includes a sample of each color.

Do you have an option for arched?

There is an additional piece you can order which you mount on top of the shutter in order to give it an arched look. You will need to make sure that when you order the shutters, that you factor in the height of the arch when you select the size of the shutters. Ex: for a 12" wide window that is 60" tall to the center of the arch, the height of the arch for a 12" shutter is also 12". So you subtract the height of the arch from the overall height of the window to figure out how tall the shutters themselves would need to be. In this case, the height of the raised panel shutters would need to be around 48".

Is the actual dimension nominal or true to size?

All standard size vinyl shutters regardless of manufacturer, tends to be nominal in size. They can vary by as much as a 1/4 inch larger or smaller.

Are these sold as a pair (2 shutters and screws/loks needed)?

Yes. these shutters are only sold as a set.

Can these shutters be mounted to bricks?

Yes, these shutters can be installed onto bricks directly using the included shutter loks.
